Our Keynote Speaker is one of the biggest names in ambient music, from California USA, Stephen Hill, host of the contemporary space music radio show Hearts of Space.
The multi-talented Annemarie Borg will discuss the bringing together of visuals and sound recordings of iWhales with her own musical compositions; Simon Lomax (who is also a performer later in the evening) uses his unique insight as a music educator to help you get more out of your own writing and production process; and the legendary Luftrum talks ambient sound design, just for us.

Stephen also ran a succesful record business, and now operates an Internet streaming service for ambient, space-creating and contemplative music. In May 2013, Stephen organised Ambicon 2013, a 3 day festival of ambient and electronic music in San Rafael California.
Annemarie Borg looks into the coming together of the visuals and sound recordings of iWhales with her own musical compositions, which have resulted in her next release Adagio in Nomine cetus. The presentation will include discussion, a short video with music, plus a live performance.
Brit Simon Lomax has a string of successful solo ambient releases and will be displaying is producing talents in our Saturday evening concert. Simon is also taking on the role of speaker during the day. As the co-developer of the Music Skills accelerated learning system, responsible for outputting highly accomplished and world famous musicians, Simon will use his unique insight to help you get more out of your own writing and production process.
Luftrum is Søren Hybel, a Danish sound designer, field recordist, coffee enthusiast, philanthropist, and all-round good guy. He will be letting us into some of his secrets of ambient sound design, which will be fascinating for producers and listeners alike.
